The International OSCE observers of Special monitoring mission visited Lviv Polytechnic National University

The International OSCE observers of Special monitoring mission Lisa Russo and Vlasta Brklachich visited Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Welcoming the guests, the Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University the Professor Yuriy Bobalo noted that such an authoritative international organization as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe plays an important role in the settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the work with refugees from Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Lviv Polytechnic National University has accepted them also. Those are the students, who transferred from other universities, as well as this year’s applicants. By the way, the total number of such students, who are currently studying at the University, is more than 200 people. It is the largest amount among all the higher educational institutions in Lviv.

International observers of the OSCE asked about the conditions of students' stay in Lviv Polytechnic National University and received satisfactory answers.

The University Rector Yuriy Bubalo told the guests about the history and traditions of Lviv Polytechnic National University, which celebrates its 170th anniversary this year, about the current achievements in the scientific and educational sphere, touched upon the issue of provisions of the new Law of Ukraine on Higher Education implementation, etc. At the end of the conversation, which was held in a friendly and sincere atmosphere, he wished Lisa Russo and Vlasta Brklachich a successful implementation of monitoring mission in Ukraine.
