Ukrainian World Congress President Eugene Czolij receives honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Lviv Polytechnic

The members of the Academic Council of Lviv Polytechnic National University recently resolved to confer the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa on the President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), Eugene Czolij. The awarding of this title was the initiative of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, and was supported by the Rector of the University, Professor Yuriy Bobalo.

A round table meeting in Ukrainian Parliament on issues of education of Ukrainian children under nowadays’s crisis condition

On the 18th of September, the round table meeting devoted to problems of Ukrainian children under conditions of nowadays’s crisis was held by International Institute of Education and Culture (IIEC) of Lviv Polytechnic National University in the premises of Ukrainian Supreme Council. In the framework of its work, peculiarities of national and patriotic education were considered, results of the «Life – to you» project in the context of implementation of the new concept of national and patriotic education of children and youth were also discussed.

Third Summer School «Step to Ukraine» – 2014 initiated by IIAC of Lviv Polytechnic University took place in Kazakhstan

Third Summer School was very expected. Participants were full of joyful impatience as it was a great chance for them to meet old friends and find new ones, to have nice and interesting time and a lot of fun. Teachers were excited. After two successful schools, people were expected from them even more.

Canadian students will learn Ukrainian language from the course book "Step 2" of Lviv Polytechnic’s IIEC

On the 7th of April at the meeting of Toronto school board Anna Kisil, president of the International Organization of Ukrainian Communities "Fourth Wave" in Canada and the Chairperson of the Commission on Culture of the Ukrainian World Congress, introduced and presented the course book of Ukrainian language "Step 2" to members of the school board. The book is written by Olesya Palinska, Chief Researcher of National University Lviv Polytechnic IIEC.

Sofia Frenkel, the head of Liaison Centre France – Ukraine, visited IIEC of Lviv Polytechnic University

On September 8, 2014 International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations of National University Lviv Polytechnic held a meeting with Sofia Frenkel, the head of newly created Liaison Centre France — Ukraine. Sofia Frenkelis a citizen of France.

Anna Kisil, the President of the World Culture Council of World Congress of Ukrainians, became honorary member of Lviv Polytechnic’s IIEC

On September 9, 2014 the meeting of the team of International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with Diaspora of National University "Lviv Polytechnic" with Anna Kisil, who was unanimously elected Honorary member of IIEC, was held.

Top young scientists of the year (the best young scientists of the year): at Lviv Polytechnic the contest winners were solemnly congratulated

At the Lviv Polytechnic on May 15, on the eve of Science Day, the winners of the contest "The Best Young Scientist of the year" were solemnly congratulated.

The Professor of University of Pittsburgh Adriana Helbig presented her monograph "Hip­Hop in Ukraine: Music, Race and Migration of Africans" in Lviv Polytechnic

On September 12, 2014 as part of the XXI Publishers Forum at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" took part a presentation of the monograph of Professor of University of Pittsburgh (USA) Adriana Helbig "Hip­Hop in Ukraine: Music, Race and Migration of Africans". The event was organized by the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations which Ms. Helbig visited in July.
